Background:
Built as a Middle school in 1974 it became a junior school in September 1996. Situated on an extensive and pleasant site to the southwest side of Rugby, it draws pupils from a mixed priority area. It has a wide range of extra-curricular activities including choir, orchestra, football, rugby, hockey, technology club, table tennis, cycle awareness and Scrabble. Specialist rugby coaching has been arranged through the Warwickshire Rugby Football Union and the Rugby Lions R.F.C. The school regularly supports a number of local and national charities including UNICEF, Comic Relief, MacMillan Appeal and MENCAP. The school is over-subscribed, with 86 applications for 70 places. The school aims to provide a caring, stimulating environment where the relationships that exist between pupils, parents and staff promote a high quality of education.
