Background:
St Benedict's is an 11 to 16 voluntary aided, coeducational Roman Catholic high school serving a wide catchment area which includes Alcester, Bidford, Broadway, Evesham, Henley, Stratford, Studley, Redditch and all villages near these towns. The school has been recently designated a Mathematics and Computing Specialist College. The school founded in 1963 and is blessed with a splendid 11-acre site close to the centre of the historic town of Alcester. There are 38 well-qualified full-time and part-time members of staff who, in keeping with aims of the school, will help its pupils with a spiritual, academic and pastoral environment. The school has a wide range of extra-curricular activities, which includes netball, hockey, football, rugby, cricket, athletics, rounders and tennis. The school aims to create a well-ordered family community, a family of the Lord's service where everyone is valued and respected.
