High-achieving school that serves the Abbey ward of Kenilworth, near to Kenilworth Castle; moved to the present site in 1976 having been opened in 1965 in School Lane; rural site, with adjoining land under development to create environmental area; the school benefits from 12 acres of playing fields and grounds which are crossed by a pleasant stream and mature hedgerows, making the school environment a haven for wildlife. Over-subscribed, with 1.1 applications per place. As an additional facility, Abbey Pre-School leases temporary classroom to provide on-site pre-school provision.
