Background:

Park Hill Junior School was founded in 1968 and serves the eastern side of Kenilworth. It occupies a single-storey building comprising 14 teaching areas, including separate music, science and information technology areas. The school has a playground, two football pitches, a cricket square, a rugby pitch and a hockey pitch. Over-subscribed. It has teams in football, rugby, netball, cross-country, athletics, rounders and cricket. In 2005, the school won the Central Area large schools football league, the Central Area knock-out cup competition, the Kenilworth Mid-Warwickshire and Warwickshire six-a-side football tournaments. The school is also the current Mid-Warwickshire Indoor Athletics champions. It is a member of the Warwickshire Inclusion Network, Warwickshire's only network learning community and also a member of the Kenilworth Primary Network, which focuses on expanding the provision for gifted and talented children.
